A Story About Recording Vocals for Bubblegum!

Remember one time I promised you to tell how we were recording vocals for Bubblegum? Today is the day!

Well, lots of things in our current recording experience were kinda done a few times, because we were not happy with the way they were coming out first. So this happened with singing for Bubblegum!

Well, the first time i did it and then listened to it, and i was not happy. The vocals did not sound the way i wanted!!! Hm, what kind of secret is here...

Then a few sessions later, after a fun night "Mexican style" with our friends (you know what i mean ;) in the morning we rolled into the studio, sunglasses and everything. And David Ivory is like: alright, time to rerecord the vocals!!! That was a challenge!

WOW!! Of course i felt freshly not fresh and the voice was cracking, but MAN!!! It was so real and i literally felt transported into the Bubblegum world!!! Where we were doing "shady things"!!!!!!! Oh, it was amazing!!!! Also could not stop smiling, that's how STRONG i felt about what was going on!!!

And i just sang about what i felt :))) And! This version MADE it to the song!!!!!!!! A-uu!! That's how we keep in real, singing in front of golden mic (for real, it was golden, DI's special :))))))

The Mix Is Right!

Sun shines bright and it feels snuggy!!

I have been listening to the new mix for BubbleGum all day on repeat... I think this is it!!! I am liking it so much!! It was a long way for the song. After tracking all the parts we spent over a month mixing it. This is the first time it takes so long, because we know exactly how we want the song to sound.

The first time we brought the demo to Dr. David Ivory he diagnosed us with "Demo Love"!!! It's like you love how demo sounds so much and can't get enough of it! It is impossible to replicate it and inevitably a new recording of it will sound different. So being settled on a particular sound the journey began! We wanted the song to transport you into a dreamy world ... And i think we DID IT!!!! Just right!

We are very sorry it is taking us so long. So many people ask: So when Bubblegum will be released?! We can't wait till that moment too!!!!! Just a little more.

This Tuesday we are going back to David Ivory's to work on Holiday, our second single. And we'll finish Bubblegum completely i think. After that we'll master both singles - and!!! YEAH! that will be it! We are not sure how long it will take us to get it on iTunes, that's why we decided to send it to all our friends as soon as we have it ourselves!! Get ready! It's coming out at you!!! As we said it in our video, to everybody who gives us their email we'll send it to!! You can do it right here at our blog, just look for it in the top right corner!!

Back To The Studio For One Day!

It feels so good to be back to the studio!!

Yesterday we went to see David Ivory to discuss our final mix for BubbleGum. We wanted to tweak that final sound we are looking for. So we explored different things, effects on voices, effects on guitars. We really like reverb and delays. And David got all this different gear to experiment with.

It felt so good to see everyBUBBY at the studio! We missed Dave and his jokes... Matt, one of his sound engineers was there too. He was with us through the whole process of recording BubbleGum and Holiday, our two new singes. Later on Ethan, our new guitar and bass player, came by. SO FUN!! By the way, originally we met Ethan at the studio, he is one of David Ivory's interns!

Gotta be fate that everything worked out this way and now Ethan is in the band. David and Matt feel like family, and studio feels like home ) yeah! Home of Bubblegum!

We realize ( and it's a little sad) that it was one of the last sessions for now... And now we need to spread our wings and fly!

Tonight Dan will be playing drums at the Puck in Doylestown instead of Chuck Treece (wow), cause Chuck is on tour with the Lemonheads ;) it will b cool!

Hello, midnight friend!!!

Ania here, looking at the stars and writing this at midnight :)

Again I am escaping to see the ocean and to visit my surf board (well, not mine, but A Surfboard!!) It is so quiet here, and peaceful.  A long warm walk along the beach watching the sunset - WOW! and this little poem came to my mind and it is so PERFECT, every word.

Today again we jammed with Ethan! We can not wait till showing you guys the NEW Glen Landing.  Thank you, the stars for lining up this perfect way for us! Feeling so inspired and happy. Sometimes i think my heart will escape cause i love how we sound so so much!! We got this awesome reggae jamm that Ethan had guitar parts for... Well, i really enjoyed playing a bass line to it!!!

Going to see David Ivory this Thursday and we'll talk BubbleGum!!!

Also we want to thank everybody for your guys SUPPORT!!! We got 220  view of our new second video within less then 24 hours!!!!!!!!! We are so stoked you guys like it!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Yeah, gotta say we had fun doing it!! Of course the best part was feeding Bud with a sandwich :)) He was hungry!!

 Good evening to you....


Ania is here giving you the inside scoop on what's going on with Glen Landing!! Au-uu!!

Feeling excited and inspired by all this things that are keep on happening with us. I am very interested to see what's there next for us! I feel like the missing pieces of the puzzle called Glen Landing are coming together and it is fascinating! I can't describe what it is. I just feel this energy... And it feels GOOD!!

We just got done jamming with Ethan. Ethan is our new friend and our NEW BAND MEMBER!!! Welcome, Ethan! He just kills it on guitar and bass. He brings this special touch to our music and it feels fresh! We just can't stop playing together because it  sounds so good!!

Well, also we have filmed footage for the second episode of our video series "How We Effin Did It". Honestly, i think it is so cool! I can't wait till seeing it all finished!! A little hint: We'll be reporting LIVE from our van "Red Robin" driving it to get some Frosties!!
